Chessum named to start in England's final Test

Six Leicester Tigers players will run out for England in the final Test of the tour to Australia on Saturday, including Ollie Chessum who makes his first start for the national team.

Chessum starts in the second row after four previous appearances as a replacement.

Ellis Genge, Fredie Steward and Guy Porter, who made his debut in the second Test victory last Saturday, are also named in the starting line-up, with clubmates Joe Heyes and Jack van Poortvliet on the bench.

England and Australia are all-square with one win each approaching the decisive third Test at Sydney Cricket Ground. Kick-off on Saturday is at 11.00am UK time.

National team coach Eddie Jones said: “We’ve had a squad of 36 this tour who have competed hard and we’re really proud of their efforts.

“We go into this Test with a strong squad of 23.  It’s a young, inexperienced but together group who have developed well throughout this series.”
