The Tigers Family sends its very best wishes to Matt Hampson who has been seriously ill in hospital.

The Matt Hampson Foundation released a statement on Tuesday confirming that Matt, a life member of Leicester Tigers, had been admitted to hospital before Christmas and has been seriously ill.

“He is now stable and has shown marked signs of improvement during his time there,” the statement said.

“We all obviously look forward to his return home and to the Get Busy Living Centre as soon as he is fit enough to do so.

“On behalf of Matt, his family and all of us at the Foundation, we thank the hospital staff for their help and support. We will keep everyone updated on Matt’s progress.”

The Matt Hampson Foundation provides support for young people seriously injured through sport and is an official charity of the Leicester Tigers. This year will mark the opening of the Foundation’s Get Busy Living Centre at Burrough-on-the-Hill providing extra support facilities for beneficiaries and their families.
