Team news | Tigers side for Sevens tournament

Tom Hardwick will captain a Leicester Tigers 7s team including an exciting mix of some of the club's next generation of stars and current members of the senior squad this Sunday (May 6) in the Greene King IPA 7s at Bury St Edmunds RUFC.

Hardwick is one of three members of the side to have featured during this season's Gallagher Premiership alongside Will Evans and Freddie Steward.

Backrowers Henri Lavin, Taylor Gough and Fred Tuilagi are also included in the side.

Steward, who made his Premiership debut off the bench in the away game against Sale Sharks at the AJ Bell Stadium, is joined by six fellow members of this year's U18 League title winning Tigers academy squad - Jack Van Poortvliet, Jonny Law, Sam Costelow, Harry Glynn, Luke Phoenix and Leo Gilliland.

Current Tigers player Matt Smith, who made his 226th appearance for the club in last weekend's Premiership fixture at Welford Road, is the team's head coach and is supported by club legend Dusty Hare as team manager.
