The Leicester Tigers Foundation sends thanks to everyone who took part in its Race Around the World Challenge, promoting fitness and wellbeing as well as raising funds for its education and inclusion programmes in the community.

After six weeks, the KL Tigers from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia are the Foundation’s Race Around the World champions.

A total of 558 participants from the extended #TigersFamily at home and at Global Partner Clubs around the world supported the Challenge, logging the distance covered in their individual exercise routines to add to the collective figures.

Participants covered a total of almost 50,000 miles, for an average of 80-plus miles each, over the six weeks of the Challenge, benefiting both their physically and mental health along the way.

Congratulations to KL Tigers, to everyone who took part and to anyone who has supported the Foundation with sponsorship or a donation.

Leicester Tigers Foundation 7,068 miles
Dendermonde RFC ,7047 miles

The Tigers Foundation set up the Challenge primarily to engage with the #TigersFamily around the world while also encouraging supporters to get active and also raising awareness and funds for social inclusion projects including Dynamite and HITZ.

These project have helped to educate and mentor hundreds of the most disadvantaged young people within Leicestershire over the last eight years with Foundation staff working to offer opportunities and qualifications alongside vital life skills and offering young people a kickstart to a brighter future.

Supporters of the Foundation really can make a huge difference in significantly changing the lives of young people. To find out more, read one young man's journey on the HITZ programme.
