The Leicester Tigers international quartet taking part in the Rugby Championship suffered back-to-back defeats in the fourth round of the 2021 tournament, with the Springboks going down to the Wallabies 17-30 before the Los Pumas were beaten 13-36 by the All Blacks.

In repeat results from the third week of the competition, Australia and New Zealand came away victorious from the double-header in Brisbane.

Jasper Wiese was used early on in the match, replacing Duane Vermeulen in the back-row as a blood replacement, before returning to the bench at half-time.

The Tigers No.8 and future clubmate Marco van Staden were injected in to the fold with just over 10 minutes to play as the 'Boks chased a come-from-behind win.

In the 79th minute, Wiese was shown a yellow card following an infringement at the breakdown in an attempt to turn over the ball in the final stages of the fixture.

Argentina came up against New Zealand in the second of the night's matches, with Julián Montoya leading Los Pumas from hooker against the world's No.1 side.

A fast-start from the Kiwis had the brave Argies on the back foot from the get-go, heading in to the break down 24-3.

The Argentines rallied in the second-half but fell short of any comeback with New Zealand outgunning their opponents to come away with a 23-point win.

Argentina now face Australia in back-to-back meetings in the final fortnight of the 2021 tournament, with the highly-anticipated match-up of the World Champion Springboks and world rankings leading All Blacks to come.
