Vote for your Topps Tiles Try-Umph of the Month

Voting is now open for February's Topps Tiles Try-Umph of the Month.

The Leicester Tigers men's squad won both of their fixtures - at home to Saracens (February 19) and away to London Irish (February 25) - during the second month of 2023.

The Topps Tiles Try-Umph of the Month offers supporters the chance to vote for their favourite score from a shortlist of three tries and hear from the winning player in an exclusive chat on LTTV, thanks to Main Partner Topps Tiles.

The Shortlist...

Handré Pollard v Saracens

A try made in South Africa; the scorer may read ‘Pollard’ but this all starts with the exceptional brutality, even by his own lofty standards, of Jasper Wiese. The No.8 hits the gain line like he’s been shot out of a cannon, running through the Saracens defence from past the halfway line and showing some surprisingly nimble footwork before being desperately hauled down a few feet out. Fellow South African compatriot Hanro Liebenberg is first to clear out, giving Ben Youngs clear ball to correctly hit Handré Pollard who dots down against a defence still reeling from a monstrous run.

Mike Brown v Saracens

On the face of it, the most unlikely of all three tries (and this list contains a Jasper Wiese 50-metre run with a step on the fullback!) simply because of who scored it. Seeing Mike Brown in a Tigers shirt is surreal enough but supporters inside Mattioli Woods Welford Road were instantly behind the new man, screaming at him to go for the corner following great offloads from Jimmy Gopperth and Chris Ashton. The cerebral Brown, however, always goes his own way, stepping inside and fooling both covering Saracens defenders for a rapturous debut score.

Olly Cracknell v London Irish

A score that every forward will love to see, this try shows serious grunt. Heavy carries come in from across the forward pack, back-row Hanro Liebenberg leading the charge, followed by second-row George Martin over the gain-line, then Julián Montoya fights for another inch before finally Olly Cracknell burrows over from centre metres out for the finish inside two minutes, a perfect platform for what became a great away win.
