Supporters attending this weekend's England fixture against Spain at Mattioli Woods Welford Road are advised to to plan ahead and allow extra time for travel.
Leicester Caribbean Carnival will also take place in the city that day and road closures are planned as part of the celebrations.
Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm, with the match set to kick off at 3pm. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by clicking HERE.
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed at the times below, and may affect your journey:
- London Road (between Mayfield Road and Waterloo Way): Closed from 2.45pm to 4.15pm
- Inner Ring Road (between St Georges Way and Waterloo Way, between Humberstone Road roundabout and Tigers Way): Closed from 12.45pm to 3.45pm
If driving, please avoid these areas, if possible, and seek alternative routes into the city.
Travelling by Train
Leicester Train Station, on London Road, may also be busier than usual and subject to disruption. We recommend checking live travel updates before and during your travel in case of delays.
Attending the match
Once you have arrived at Mattioli Woods Welford Road, access into the stadium will be smooth.
However, we encourage all fans to arrive in good time in order to soak up the atmosphere and avoid any potential disruption caused by city centre closures.
