On Monday 3rd July, the plaza at Mattioli Woods Welford Road will be the Europcar check point as part of the EV Rally: Capital City Challenge. This all-electric journey takes the participating teams over 1,200 miles across the UK and Ireland and puts EVs to the test in real-world conditions.
The Europcar team has partnered with VW Group to put a range of electric vehicles to the test, from the Cupra Born and Skoda Enyaq to the Audi Q8 e-tron and the ID. Buzz Cargo van. Mark Newberry, Commercial Director and Sustainability spokesperson at Europcar Mobility Group UK & Ireland explained, “Events like this are vital to instill more confidence in electric motoring amongst the driving public.”
Team Europcar will be posting news of the trip on the Europcar LinkedIn page which can be seen here.
