Quartet of Tigers enjoy Test victories

A quartet of Leicester Tigers players enjoyed international success during the weekend's Test match action.

On Friday evening, Cameron Henderson came off the bench for Scotland in their 29-point, 12-41, win over Samoa at Eden Park, Auckland.

The Leicester Tigers lock came on in the 56th minute in the final match of the Scots Pacific Tour.

In Australia, on Saturday, Ollie Chessum came off the bench in the opening minutes of the second half to help the British & Irish Lions to an eight-point, 19-27, win over the Wallabies to take a 1-0 series lead.

Chessum was at his bruising best for the Lions at lock in what was the Leicester forward's Test debut for the side.

Meanwhile, two Tigers were in action in Washington, D.C. on Saturday afternoon, with Emily Henrich featuring for the USA Women's Eagles in their 31-24 win over Fiji.

The Leicester winger crossed for a try in the seven-point win, in the penultimate fixture for America in their final home game of the season as they continue preparations for the Women's Rugby World Cup. Henrich and her Test teammates now travel to Canada.

Later in the day at Audi Field, Jack van Poortvliet crossed in England's 45-point, 5-40, win over the USA Men's Eagles.

The Tigers scrum-half was one of six try-scorers in the victory, which brings an end to a successful summer tour for the national side after registering a series win over Argentina before taking on America.
