Rugby Courses filling up fast

Figure image
The summer holidays may still be a number of weeks away, but that hasn't stopped interest in Tigers' Rugby Courses reaching record levels.

Courses such as those on the island of Jersey and at Stamford are already close to being sold out, while places on the remainder of our courses are filling up rapidly.

"We're really pleased that, year on year, interest in the Tigers Rugby Courses gets greater and greater and the content of the courses gets better and better," says Scott Clarke, head of Leicester Tigers community department. "We're always changing the content to keep things fresh and ensure that the young players gain something new every single time they attend a Tigers Rugby Course.

"We're continuing to build a wide network of course centres, meaning that our courses are becoming accessible to more and more people, and we're always looking to add highly-qualified and experienced coaches to our staff. For example, Glenn Gelderbloom, who is a former Heineken Cup winner with Tigers, has recently headed one of our courses. The experience and knowledge Glenn can pass on to the youngsters is a massive plus for all of us."

What's so special about a Tigers Rugby Course?

On a Tigers Rugby Course, you'll get a week's worth of top-class coaching from 9.30am-3.30pm each day. Alongside the chance to improve as a player, you'll receive lunch and refreshments, Junior Tigers Club membership, a Tigers ball, water bottle, t-shirt and memorabilia, as well as a week you'll never forget!

Learning from the best

Your son or daughter can spend a week with our top academy and community coaches honing all their core rugby skills. From kicking and passing to rucking, mauling and tackling each player will learn how to improve their techniques and become and better player.

'Special Guests'

If we're lucky, we sometimes have a Leicester Tigers first-team player drop in to share their knowledge and experience as well as sign a few items of memorabilia. (Please note that players cannot attend every course we run due to training commitments.)

Refreshments provided

We provide a healthy, hot lunch as well as drinks throughout the day to keep everyone hydrated and energised. All dietary requirements and allergies are taken into account.
