Team news for Saturday sell-out at Welford Road

Figure image
International half-backs Toby Flood and Ben Youngs return to the Leicester Tigers line-up for Saturday's sell-out game against London Irish at Welford Road.

Flood and Youngs missed the win at Newcastle Falcons in Round 21 which secured Tigers a home game in the Aviva Premiership semi-finals, but return for the visit of Irish in an otherwise unchanged team.

Tigers go into the final round of league fixtures on top of the Aviva Premiership table and director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: “We’ve had some good wins on the road but now we have a big game at Welford Road and we want to go into the semi-finals next week on the back of a good performance.”

Welford Road is hosting a Tigers double on Saturday with the senior fixture followed at 5.30pm by a match between Tigers Academy and England Academy Under-19s.

With a big crowd and neighbours Leicester City kicking-off their final game of the season at 12.45pm, supporters are advised to make allowances for heavier traffic and demand for car-parking than usual and allow extra time for their journey.

If you have match tickets to collect – or wish to buy tickets for next Saturday’s Aviva Premiership semi-final at Welford Road – please come to the stadium as early as possible. The ticket office is open from 9am. Season ticket renewals are also available inside the stadium this week.
