Tigers Development XV line-up

Figure image
England internationals Sam Vesty and Harry Ellis play for Leicester Tigers Development XV in tonight's Premier Rugby A League game against Newcastle Falcons at Welford Road (7pm).

Both have recently returned from injury absences and will see tonight’s fixture as an opportunity to gain valuable game-time.

Tigers will be led by Ben Pienaar, while first-team experience will also be added by Matt Smith, Dan Hemingway and Joe Duffey.

The Development XV currently top the A League Northern Conference with four wins from five games so far, but coach Paul Burke says there is no opportunity to relax.

“We have five games left and Northampton are just four points behind us,” said Burke. “There will be no let-up from us.”

Newcastle include first-teamers Tom Biggs, Rob Miller, Hall Charlton and Micky Ward in their line-up, and former Tigers back-rower Adam Balding.

Season ticket holders are admitted free for A League fixtures at Welford Road, while other supporters can claim free admission if they complete the downloadable form.

Tickets can also be purchased on the night from the Tigers ticket office in the Caterpillar Stand, priced £5 adults & £1 juniors.

All supporters will be accommodated in the Crumbie Stand and kick-off is at 7pm.
