Donncha O’Callaghan will captain the Lions in their final match before Saturday’s first test against South Africa in Durban.
Lions head coach Ian McGeechan said: “This is Test week and there is a noticeable change in attitude within the touring party.
“We are now heading towards the business end of the tour and the reason why we have come to South Africa.
“As you would expect, the immediate focus is the next match against the Southern Kings on Tuesday before attention turns to selection for the First Test for which all players will be considered.”
In a late change on Tuesday morning, Ugo Monye was elevated to the starting XV. Shane Williams had been named at No14 but has been suffering with a stomach bug. He will join the squad but has now been included among the replacements.
There are a couple of familiar faces in the Southern Kings team who provide Tuesday's opposition. Coached by Alan Solomons, previously of Northampton Saints, the Kings include former Tigers fly-half Jaco van der Westhuyzen and lock Marco Wentzel.
