Tigers learn their Heineken Cup fate

Leicester Tigers will face Leinster, Toulouse and Edinburgh Rugby in the opening stages of next season's Heineken Cup.

The Heineken Cup draw was performed at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium today, where the final will be staged next May.

Tigers, who were unseeded, were placed in Pool Six. Leinster are the seeded side, while Toulouse qualified as French Championship semi-finalists and Edinburgh finished last season as eighth-placed side the Magner League.

Tigers reached the final of the Heineken Cup in 2007, the club's fourth final in 11 seasons.

The new European campaign will begin on the weekend of November 9/10/11, though the order of fixtures is yet to be determined.

Holders London Wasps were drawn in a group alongside Clermont Auvergne, Llanelli Scarlets and Munster.

Pool 2: Ospreys, Gloucester, Bourgoin, Ulster Rugby

Pool 3: Stade Francais, Bristol Rugby, Cardiff Blues, Harlequins

Pool 5: London Wasps, Clermont Auvergne, Llanelli Scarlets, Munster
