Tigers overtake 2008/09 season ticket sales

Leicester Tigers season ticket sales have already beaten last year's figures with more than two months to go before the start of the new campaign.

Tigers ended the 2008/09 season, in which they became English champions for a record eighth time, with 12,300 season ticket holders at Welford Road.

Now, after topping 10,000 sales in the first two weeks of the close-season, that figure has been overtaken by supporters keen to see every game in the 2009/10 season.

Diamond category seats in the new Caterpillar Stand are already close to selling-out and demand is high in all other areas.

“We always enjoy great loyalty from the supporters who appreciate the matchday atmosphere here at Welford Road and offer great support to the team,” says Leicester Tigers managing director David Clayton.

“To pass last season’s figures at this early stage in the summer is a tribute to our supporters and also to the achievements of the team.

“To ensure the best seats available, we urge any supporters considering taking a season ticket to act as quickly as possible so they can reserve their place for every game.”

Prices have been held at the 2008/09 rates for all season tickets. Adult season tickets start at £255 for terrace or £285 for seating, while a new ‘Young Adult and Full-Time Student’ category has been introduced to help bridge the gap between junior and adult rates.

Season tickets are available for one, two or three seasons and there is an easy-payment scheme in operation.

Supporters interested in Leicester Tigers season tickets should contact the Tigers ticket office by calling 0844 856 1880, call in Welford Road or log on to the club website to download an information pack.
