Tigers Rugby Courses go into Europe

Figure image
Tigers won't have to wait too long until they venture back into Europe - the club's community team will be holding a first-ever Rugby Course on the continent next week.

Leicester’s first foray into Europe this season saw them bring back five points from Italy as they kicked off their Heineken Cup campaign with a 34-29 bonus-point victory over Benetton Treviso.

Now they are preparing to take their renowned Tigers Rugby Course programme, which is supported by Mark Group, to the British School in the Netherlands in Voorschoten near The Hague, next week (October 18-22). And Tigers fly-half Jeremy Staunton is set to travel to the course and pass on his expert tips to the players taking part.

The link was established last season when players from the school visited Welford Road as part of a Mark Group Matchday Coaching Clinic and Tigers are following it up with a first Rugby Course in Europe.

It is one of four Rugby Courses that Tigers will be holding during the autumn half-term. A little closer to home, Tigers coaches will visit Leicester Forest RFC (October 18-22) as well as Oundle School and Diss RFC, the former club of Tigers and England centre Dan Hipkiss, in the week of October 25-29. Places are available now.
