Tigers team up with Cat clothing exhibitors

Leicester Tigers duo Marcos Ayerza and Lucas Amorosino exchanged playing kit for the latest fashions when they joined the Caterpillar Apparel team at a national exhibition in Birmingham.

Moda, the UK’s largest trade fashion exhibition, took place over three days at the NEC, and Tigers’ Argentinean internationals joined the CAT team for the opening day.

They took the Guinness Premiership trophy, won by Tigers with a Twickenham victory over London Irish last May, with them and the silverware was the first thing many of the exhibitors, buyers and visitors encountered as they entered Hall 20 at the NEC.

“We had a prime site at the entrance of the hall and we had three busy days at the exhibition,” said Andrew Wallington, director of SRI (UK) Ltd, an authorised distributor for SRI Apparel Ltd, a global licensee for apparel and accessories for Caterpillar Inc.

“It was great to see Marcos and Lucas join us on the stand on Sunday, especially as they brought the trophy with them.

“I’m sure the presence of two international rugby players and the English championship trophy provided a bit of a talking point for a lot of our visitors.”
