Leicester Tigers have confirmed the departure of England international fly-half Andy Goode, who has signed a two-year contract with French club Brive.

Goode, 28, is the Guinness Premiership’s top points scorer of all time after pushing past Jonny Wilkinson during 2007/08 and he is third on Leicester’s all-time list with 1,799 points in exactly 200 appearances for the club.

“Andy has given great service to the club in two spells with Leicester Tigers and he has played a major part in the club’s successes over the last few years,” said chairman Peter Tom CBE.

“We have today signed the final release papers to allow him to complete his move to France and we wish him and his family well in his new challenge with Brive.”
