We've still got more says Hamilton

Scott Hamilton says there is more to come from Leicester Tigers after they scored seven tries in a 46-11 bonus-point win over Viadana in the Heineken Cup on Saturday.

Full-back Hamilton won the official man-of-the-match award after scoring a hat-trick and said Tigers had completed their job of taking a bonus point back with them to Welford Road.

“To be honest, it was not one of my better games,” Hamilton said. “I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to score the tries.

“We are probably better than what we showed out there today but we came here to get five points and that’s what we did.”

Tigers were joined at the Stadio Luigi Zaffanella by more than 500 travelling supporters who had made the trip from Leicester.

Hamilton paid tribute to the supporters, who helped to create a cracking atmosphere inside the ground and played a part in setting a Viadana attendance record of 4,320, nearly 1,000 up on their previous best, against Saracens two seasons ago.

“It was great to see a good contingent of Tigers supporters making the journey over,” he said.

“The locals were pretty noisy as well with their drums and the loud-speaker man was having a crack at it.

“It is great to come to places like this, the fans are right on top of you, they are lovely people and they get right behind their team.”

Tigers fans can get right behind their team when they return to Welford Road for the visit of Northampton Saints on Saturday, October 31. Tickets are available now online, from the ticket hotline on 0844 856 1880 or from the Tigers ticket office.
