Burton and Stratford under-10s will play each other at the home of Leicester Tigers in the Prima Tiger Cup final before the Guinness Premiership game against Gloucester Rugby (kick-off 2.45pm).
Scott Clarke, Tigers community manager, said: “Both teams have done exceptionally well to get to the final of a competition that attracted entrants from across the country.
“Stratford and Burton have played some excellent rugby and have been in some tough games to get this far. They have been a credit to their clubs.
“We would encourage Tigers fans to get to the ground early for what promises to be a thrilling end to the competition.”
More than 50 teams entered the 15th Prima Tiger Cup, which began at the start of the season with a series of rugby festivals held around the country.
Stratford’s route to the final saw them emerge from the Warwickshire festival, which was held at Kenilworth RFC, before going through at the expense of Ashby in the quarter-finals on the toss of a coin after the game finished 0-0. They then knocked out Wymondham from Norfolk in the semi-finals.
Norton Bloomfield, Stratford under-10s coach, said: “We are thrilled to bits at the opportunity to be coming back to Welford Road. The guys are really looking forward to it.”
Burton won through from the Staffordshire festival held at Stoke RFC before beating Norfolk side Holt and then three-time former winners Lutterworth at Welford Road.
Martin Hulbert, Burton’s admin coach, said: “The players are absolutely beside themselves but I think, strangely enough, that the parents are more excited than them.
“It is fantastic to be playing at Welford Road and the icing on the cake would be winning it.”
